On the morning of October 20th, Datuk Noorliza,Mayor of Kota Kinabalu of Malaysia led a government delegation to visit CWPC for investigation and research. Xiao Bingdong, a member of the Standing Committee of the Zigong Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, attended the inspection on behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and Government, accompanied by Li Renchao, the Chairman of CWPC and Mao Jihong, the Secretary of the Party Committee and President of CWPC.

President Mao of CWPC accompanied a delegation from the Malaysian government to visit the company's exhibition hall, production site, and CWPC Comprehensive Bonded Zone PPP project invested, constructed, and operated by the company on site to understand the production and operation situation of the enterprise.

Subsequently, both parties held a discussion. At the meeting, Chairman Li, on behalf of CWPC, warmly welcomed Mayor Datuk Noorliza and the government delegation to visit the company for inspection and research. And focused on introducing the company's new technologies in the fields of new energy and environmental protection, especially its professional strength in urban solid waste treatment, engineering construction, project management, operation and maintenance management.CWPC attaches great importance to the Malaysian market and hopes to have the opportunity to cooperate with ICSB with excellent technical strength and rich engineering experience on the 800 ton daily treatment of urban household waste incineration power generation project and other new energy projects in Kota Kinabalu, to jointly invest, construct, and operate.

Xie Zhiwei, Deputy General Manager of China Western Power Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd., shared the company's investment and financing, operational performance, experience, and cases in the field of domestic and foreign waste incineration power generation. He also introduced the cooperation with ICSB  in the construction of an 800 ton per day urban household waste incineration power generation project in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.

Datuk Jasnih, Executive Chairman of Sabah State Government Investment Platform Company(ICSB), thanked CWPC for its warm reception and stated that in order to improve the global environment and promote green development, ICSB is actively committed to promoting the comprehensive utilization and treatment of urban solid waste resources in the city of Kota Kinabalu, greatly welcome excellent enterprises like CWPC to cooperate with ICSB in various fields locally, contributing to accelerating urban construction in  Kota Kinabalu and promoting green energy development. Through this on-site inspection, communication between the two sides have been further deepened, and confidence in future cooperation has been enhanced.

Datuk Noorliza,Mayor of Kota Kinabalu pointed out that Malaysia and China are good neighbors and partners for mutual development. Sabah is the second largest state in Malaysia, with abundant resources, beautiful scenery, and a pleasant climate. As the capital of Sabah, Kota Kinabalu is also a rich place for commerce and trade. In recent years, more and more Chinese enterprises have developed in Kota Kinabalu, exchanging and integrating with local enterprises, unleashing greater potential and vitality. The delegation came to Zigong with the aim of seeking cooperation in the construction of an 800 ton daily urban household waste incineration power generation project in the local area of Kota Kinabalu. Through today's exchange with CWPC, Datuk Noorliza hopes that both sides can leverage their advantages in the next step, deepen cooperation in aspects such as Kota Kinabalu waste power generation and urban solid waste treatment, to help improve the energy structure of Kota Kinabalu, and promote the redevelopment of clean energy.

Xiao Bingdong, a member of the Standing Committee of the Zigong Municipal Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, welcomed the delegation's visit to Zigong to inspect CWPC. He pointed out that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Malaysia, and next year the two countries will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations. At such an important time point, the visit of the delegation from Kota Kinabalu and Sabah state to Zigong is of great significance.
